Week 2022-2 #10
Hello,
Grab your tea 🫖 (I'm on my coffee detox week) and let's get started.
This week we have a new group of students starting Ironhack UXUI bootcamp and I'm looking for guest speakers. If you wanna contribute and give back a little bit reach me out, please. 💪
There are two things you need to be aware of, about yourself, before you can start understanding users well: You want things that don’t matter to users. You know things that don’t matter to users.
🧩 Building Blocks for UCD
As many of you know we start week 1 talking about Design Thinking and User-Centered Design, a good structure to start your next Case Study is using this Livework approach to UCD.
Stories Illustrated
I love to find some personal projects from designers and see how they try to use their skills and inspire other people. Check Souldoodles, a platform that hosts interviews with illustrators around the world to inspire more people to create.
Becoming a T-Shaped Designer
I was reading this article about T-Shaped Designer and maybe this could be something you want to explore a little bit further for your career.
A T-shaped term is to describe people who have a depth of skill and experience in one discipline, represented by the vertical stroke, while also having breadth via skills and experience across other disciplines, represented by the horizontal stroke.
🦄 Tech Unicorn
Some people know that I was doing the Web Dev bootcamp last year. I found this article and start thinking like a developer will enable you to understand how you can improve your design skills.
That's all for this week. I'm working to bring more content to your inbox!
See you in the next edition.
