Never-Ending Game
Do you remember how many times I mentioned that building a digital product is a never-ending game? Basically, if you stop playing, you cannot grow anymore, the same idea of investing in stocks. In this article Jared Spool shares some concepts about how UX Strategy is a long-term game.
If we’re introducing a strategy to drive more decisions from user research, we need to go beyond a single research study. Instead, we need to consider how continual research will influence every decision. Building a continual research capability is a big job.

The CX Report
If you lost John Maeda's presentation in SXSW here is a quick summary of the last report. You can watch it here or follow some updates on the microsite John Maeda CX Report 2021.
If you have never been to SXSW in Astin, I totally recommend you to go one time in your life and attend not only the conference but also the Music and Film festivals. I attended so many interesting sessions from learning how to fold clothes with Marie Kondo to Barak Obama.
Tool 👉 Overflow
I was looking for new apps to improve my workflow and I started testing Overflow. I know a lot of you don't like to pay for tools but if they can improve your work it makes a lot of sense to pay for me.
They have pretty interesting tools to help you from early-stage ideation to high-fidelity user flows. Building Moodboards and helping you to ideate and define User Stories.
Also to inspire you to build better user flows, check Page Flows.
Service Design Fundamentals
In our curriculum, we don't talk a lot about Service Design but is an interesting topic to dive into. For the certificate seekers, you can enroll in the next training in Service Design Fundamentals by Livework.
But if you wanna understand some concepts you can watch this course about Customer Experience using your LinkedIn Premium or try LinkedIn Premium 1-month free and watch it. And also read this blog post.
It's beautifuuulll
I believe e-commerce websites need to be very functional but at the same time, a lot of them cannot deliver the same shopping experience online. Because of it a lot of luxury companies like Rolex don't sell online.
Beauty Bay is not the ideal scenario yet but is a good example of navigation, color palette, typography in a pleasing rhythm. And also some content and community aspects attached to the business.
I can see a great comeback from e-commerce companies soon.
Undoing your hi-fi designs
With the advent of design systems, its become easier and easier to work in hi-fi designs quickly and easily. Sometimes, however, you need to step back into lo-fi wireframes.
Wire Box lets you convert your designs back to wires with one click, helping you and your teammates focus on the UX rather than the UI. Comes in nasty pink to make sure that happens.
This is the way to design
This week during my workout time 🏋️♀️ I was listening to the IDEO podcast – Episode Steve Vassallo + The Way to Design – and I liked how the author try to introduce some business concepts to designers. He wrote the book The Way to Design. You can get it on Amazon for $50 dollars.
– Wait, Juno. U$51.51 for this book? 🤯
Don't worry the author made a free PDF version to download, and also a free audiobook on Soundcloud.
Pumpkin Spice Latte
Font Awesome launched version 6 Beta 2 named Pumpkin Spice Latte. If you remember the Beta 1 released in May 2021 was named Orange Mocha Frappuccino.
I'm not a super fan to use Figma as a vector tool. If you used before Adobe Illustrator you understand the limitations of Figma to control vector. However, the FontAwesome team started using Figma to design their icons. In this article, they listed the 10 reasons why they switched to Figma.
