Microcopy, Information Architecture, Tech TV Shows and UX Party in Miami | Edition #21
Some nice UX selection of items for this new week
Hey Friends,
Another beautiful UX week starting and here are some of the item I would love to share with you. ❤️
⌨️ Microcopy
During my review of an onboarding process to a project, I realized it can be tough to write creatively sometimes. One resource I found useful was MicroCopy, their suggestions are quite helpful.
📌 Sticky Elements
Once you learn how to used fixed position on Figma prototype I see a lot of mistakes in using this features.
There are a few things you should take in consideration and especially related to accessibility.
Really interrogate the decision to use a sticky element
Keep the sticky elements as lean and unobtrusive as possible
Give people the option to turn off sticky elements
Design different layouts for different magnification levels
Research, research, research
📐 Content Strategy and Information Architecture
During the Ironhack bootcamp we cannot always go so in-depth into IA. The process of establishing a structure for a project is something I personally enjoy. By doing this, I can save myself time in the future. I'm preparing a fun workshop on this subject. If you are interested in one of the 9 free spots, please Slack or email me..
🔠 Font Curation by Adobe
I love that Figma integrates Google Fonts, but at the same time I'd like to explore more options for my projects. After exploring Adobe Fonts and other platforms, I was very happy with these Adobe suggestions:
📺 Tech TV Shows
I enjoyed Jared Leto's portrayal of WeWork founder Adam Neumann, with all the madness surrounding it. I started watching Super Pumped: The Battle for Uber for the first time last weekend, and it is quite interesting. However, it shows that you have to be an insane person to change the world.
🎉 Welcome Back UX Party!
Ironhack Miami is bringing the UX community back to campus next month. We will have a wide range of UX events on campus during the month of July. Since I'm moving to another city, I'm not going to be on campus (but I'll be in Miami for a few days soon).
That's all for now, everyone. Until next week, see you.
🤜🤛 Juno
Really cool information. Thank you for sharing!
