Hello people, in this issue, we’ll look at…

  • 🎢 Journey Maps,

  • ✨ Clean your workspace,

  • 📹 Video on Figma,

  • 🥂 and much more…

🎢 Have fun on the Journey

When people ask when a Journey Map should be built, my answer is as soon as possible. I've mentioned this book Winning Digital Customers a few times, in which the author starts his projects with a Journey Map. By doing this, it's easier to understand the company goals and interactions with users. By the end, you'll have a better idea of what to ask in future Surveys and Interviews.

Some key points from the article

  1. Know your business goals

  2. Know the difference between user journey and user flow

  3. Don’t combine multiple scenarios of interaction in a single map

  4. Choose swimlanes according to your business goal

  5. Current-state mapping or future-state mapping?

  6. Focus on mapping the experience of a specific user

How to create a Customer Journey Map

A customer journey map is a visual representation of your customer's experience with your brand. It shows how customers interact with your product, service, or business in a series of steps—from their first contact with you all the way through to becoming repeat customers. The purpose of a Customer Journey Map is to help you understand the emotional journey that customers take when using your product or service. This will enable you to improve upon an existing process by fixing pain points and creating new opportunities for growth along each step of the way.

👩‍🎓 The Next Workshop

🗓 👨🏻‍🏫 We have a lot of things coming, and next month I will host a session about Customer Journey Map, stay tuned 📡.

We built a Tab Navigation together during the last workshop. This article can provide you with more tips about it.

✨🧹 Juno “Marie” Kondo

If you have the same pleasure as me in organizing a Design System, these tips about organizing your design workspace in Figma might be useful to you.

Here's what it all boils down to:

  • Organize Teams, Projects, and Files

    • Team Creation

    • Project creation

    • Favorite files

  • Design Files in the project

    • Adding a thumbnail image

    • Add to pinned and favorite files

    • File structure organization

    • “Folder” system organization

    • Frame Status (or use the Approve widget)

📹 Add Video in Figma prototypes

You can now add a video to your Figma project. Adobe XD added this great feature some years ago. It may also be a good idea for Figma to copy (or migrate) the XD audio prototyping concept.

Figma is giving me a hard time right now because I have so many media files and other teams to deal with. Photoshop and Premiere could be better integrated with Figma so that other teams could simply work on the files and sync them in a cloud (similar to Adobe Creative Cloud).
